Underwriting the tremors of elevators moving
      unusually silent (soundproofed?)
Rubbing alcohol applied liberally
      over current events
Compassionate, platonic continents
lean in to share secrets, as
      two little girls writing "BFF"
with Xs and Os in sidewalk chalk
Shatter the putting greens at midnight
Disseminate the blueprints of security-dreams
Meaningless premonitions float in
refrigerator air, olives in a jar
Absorbent innocence and meticulous
      night school revelations
Ghost-passages, battlements, luminous folklore
A contusion of rediscovery
Champagne savages, buoyant
Suspended phonograph needle, an accusation
Vases of fluttering pink birds, toes
      clenched on the crystal rim,
reaching wings out in rustling arcs
Saffron threads hiding
      in the lemonfolds
Delicious crush
